Harbor truck drivers work in harsh environments, hauling the essentials people need to survive, as well as U.S. military supplies. Many people would suffer if port truckers didn’t do their jobs, and they know it, so they do their jobs to the best of their ability, but their working conditions are so bad that it’s hard for them to do their jobs. We are working to improve their treatment by educating people about their working conditions and gathering their input so that they can be treated with respect for their efforts. We will continue to try different methods until they get the treatment they deserve.
